About us » Our Logo

The logo of the MSG is an open Bible with an adaptation of an adinkra symbol known as Mpatapo.

The Mpatapo is a traditional Ghanaian symbol of reconciliation, peacemaking and pacification. This symbol has four intertwined knots depicting a final reconciliation between feuding factions and the attainment of peace. Whenever this symbol is employed it signifies the cessation of hostilities and the creation of an atmosphere of oneness.

The MSG has chosen this symbol to describe the reconciling nature of Christ's work and the mission of the Church as an effort to heal the broken relationship between God and the world. Thus, God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself not counting their sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation (2Cor. 5:19). This symbol, together with the open Bible, which is the source of information on Christ's saving work, provides adequate motivation and inspiration for the Society. The other aspect of the objective of the MSG is captured by the inscription, Christian Witness, Scholarship and Transformation.
